All I can Think of is; "FEEEED ME SEYMOUR!!!"

Yes, that is a real Clam licking it's chops.
All at once; "EEEWW!!"

I am in Awe...

Yes, this is an actual person wearing a full body latex suit and not an action figure.  This "Mass Effect EDI latex costume cosplay is made of 0,6-2,0 mm latex. Helmet is made of latex too.  All silver designs and texture patterns are ingrained in the latex, meaning it won’t wear or rub off."

FUCK YOU GOOSE!!!

You're not a fucking Flamingo!

This is Not How I Feel Today...

I'm so Excited That Sony is Making a Captain Planet & The Planeteers Movie...

I am Soooo Frickin' Excited About This!!!

Those of you who know me know full well that I am a Mego toy fanatic. So much so that I made my living for three years making custom Mego action figures of characters that the company never made. I also have a Mego Iron Man tattoo on my left forearm.

If Mego is my favorite toy line, then the 8" Mego Batman figure is my favorite toy of all time. So much so that I even made a portrait of it;
Figures Toy Company, a company that specializes in Mego-esque toy properties that include such jems like KISS, Mad Monster Series, Evel Knieval, Conan and many others, has recently acquired the rights to re-issue EXACT replicas of not only the line of Mego Batman characters, but the entire DC Comics character library! That means we will get exact replicas of not only every DC character Mego ever produced, but new characters that Mego never even released!
Oh, and did I mention that Anthony Balasco; the CFO of Figures Toy Company was my number one customer when I was making customs? Will I be dropping Anthony an email offering my services with his newly acquired DC license? Why yes, yes I will.

Project Completed!

When I decided to paint my rims, I struggled with whether to remove the tires or not. When I weighed the process of disconnecting the brakes and potentially killing myself at a later date due to my own mechanical ineptitude, I smartly decided to leave them on and just tape and cover the Hell out of everything. The masking process took a stupid long time to do, but luckily I used to stripe and prep aircraft for paint back in tha day, so it didn't take as long as it could've.

Here's some in-process pics;

And here's the finished product - I'm really happy that I decided to go with the deeper red. It's not a perfect job, but for $25 in materials and about 3 hours into it, I think it's spectacular!

New Project!

Since I just don't have enough projects to do right now, I figured I might as well throw one more on  top of the pile! I've decided to paint the rims and spokes of my chopper red. I was going to pay a professional, but I think I'm gonna go ghetto and do it myself with a lot of tape, newspaper and lots of Krylon Red! Here's a before and approximate after;

(Sigh)... Guess I'll Have to Fly to Japan in August!

These Guys Are Still The Shit!

You may have never heard of the mysterious metal act Dehaan, but you've definitely heard Dehaan – because, well, they're actually Metallica. This past weekend at the band's own Orion Music + More Festival, Metallica came out as Dehaan and proceeded to tear through the entirety of their 1983 debut, Kill 'Em All.

I was fortunate enough to see these guys on the "And Justice For All" tour, as well as their headlining gig at Lollapalooza back in '97, and they only get better with age!

Wow - Look How Far Video Game Graphics Have Come Since 1996!

They finally got the titties right! WOO-HOO!

Jambi is All Kinds of WRONG!

August 11th, BITCHES!!!

So, I Caught The Man of Steel Yesterday...

and it was frickin' AWESOME!! I wasn't quite sure what to expect after hearing the mixed reviews; the most prominent complaint being that it was short on story, but big on action.

The critics are not completely wrong in this assertion, but; whatever the film lacks on storytelling (which isn't much, BTW), it more than compensates with startlingly rich visuals, mind-blowing special effects, riveting action scenes, and solid performances by a stellar cast! And yes, Henry Cavil IS The Man of Steel!

*** TEENY TINY SPOILER ALERT***
Also, there are a couple of Easter eggs thrown in for good measure; a couple of trucks bearing a familiar "LexCorp logo, and if you look really hard, you will even catch the "Wayne Enterprises" logo on an unlucky satellite. Finally, be sure to laugh at the "giant penis rockets" that are used to shuttle Zod & Co. into the Phantom Zone!

The Martin Ansin design is my fave; definitely got a nice Alex Ross vibe to it!

Should I Feel Flattered or Ripped Off?

This is kinda interesting; I'm a big fan of cinema schlock. One of my all-time faves from the medium is "Phantom of The Paradise". If you haven't seen it, here's the synopsis from IMDB;

A disfigured composer sells his soul for the woman he loves so that she will perform his music. However, an evil record tycoon betrays him and steals his music to open his rock palace.

Anyway, a few years ago I created an art piece based on the Phantom. It sold relatively well, and is still available in my shop. While surfing the interwebs today, I ran across the blue-ray case for the film as seen below. Yes, that's my art. I know a lot of artists would be upset by something like this, but I only find it flattering. Hell, I don't own the rights to the character anyway, so what do I care? We artists steal from everyone in one form or another. If anyone denies that, then they are full of shit. What about you guys? How would you feel about someone swiping your work?
