5 Things That Absolutely Terrified Me as a Child

1.) The Zuni Fetish Doll From "Trilogy of Terror". I have one on my toy shelf now.

2.) The Creepy, Floating Vampire Kid From "Salem's Lot"

3.)The Head Vampire From "Salem's Lot"

4.) The mannequins From "Tourist Trap"

5.) The Clown Doll From "Poltergeist"

Yes, I know there is a distinct "doll" theme here, but I don't care; they scare the Hell out of me & watch you when you sleep.....patiently biding their time....

Best Christmas Decoration... EVER!!!!

This blurb is from the guy who set it up;
“Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn’t realize that it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of the many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.”

Epic. Absolutely effing EPIC! I wanted to do my own version of this, which my wife promptly shot down... killjoy.

Giant Monsters VS Giant Robots; ALWAYS a Recipe For WIN!

Defined in English, the Japanese word "Kaiju" translates to "strange beast," a label for any and all supernatural creatures. For fans of Japanese science fiction movies, the term has a narrower meaning: giant monsters that destroy everything in their paths.
Godzilla remains the most famous kaiju of them all, but next summer, director Guillermo Del Toro hopes to erase America's problematic history with kaiju movies (did you see Roland Emmerich's Godzilla remake?) with Pacific Rim. If Power Rangers helped make the kaiju movie palatable to younger generations of Americans, then Pacific Rim will melt brains, Del Toro's vision pits the Earth's military forces — which includes enormous robot warriors called Jaegers — against a variety of angry beasts.

At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, we got our first taste of the oversized blockbuster, a quick glimpse of stars Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba suiting up in the Jaegers to lay the smack down on the killer kaiju. It was a wonder to behold — but Del Toro promised not to show the footage to the general public until closer to release. Now, we're finally getting a tease of what's to come.
Two new viral videos have hit the web, and they paint a picture of Pacific Rim's ambitious adventure. One plays like a warning, revealing the conflict at the center of the movie. The other puts us right in the middle of a kaiju attack, feeling a bit more like Cloverfield, thanks to its first person vantage point. But don't get the wrong idea: when Pacific Rim hits theaters next year, it will be anything but small scale. This is just a tease — and a great one at that.

Finally, as part of the intense viral campaign, Jaeger blueprints have been slowing popping up around the web. Check out the three that have been found so far;

Now I'm REALLY Wishing I Would Have Won The Powerball!

Looks like car designer George Barris is thinning out his personal collection and putting THE ORIGINAL Batmobile from the 1966 series on the auction block. You can read the official press release here;

Barrett-Jackson, the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, announced today that it will offer one of the most recognized and popular pieces of entertainment history worldwide, at its 42nd annual Scottsdale auction in January – the only 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car which was heavily modified by legendary customizer George Barris to become the original 1966 Batmobile in the live action TV series Batman, as well as the movie adaptation, starring Adam West. The car will cross the block alongside Barrett-Jackson’s 5000 Series on Saturday, January 19th from 5:00pm – 9:00pm.
Still as striking as when it first came out of the paint shop, the original Batmobile has been a part of Barris’ personal collection since he first bought it from the Ford Motor Company for a dollar in 1965. Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction will mark the first time the car has gone up for sale since then.
 In late 1965, 20th Century Fox Television and William Dozier's Greenway Productions contacted Barris and asked him to produce a Batmobile for the upcoming TV series. With only 15 days and $15,000 budget to build a Batmobile, Barris decided to transform the Lincoln Futura concept car into what is now widely recognized as the original and iconic crime-fighting vehicle.
“The 1966 Batmobile by George Barris is one of the most famous Hollywood cars in history and it has become a true icon that has been carried from generation to generation of Batmobiles to follow,” said Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “This vehicle not only marks the significant Bat logo that sits on the middle of its door, but a time in television history where they defied the odds of making a car the real star of the show. It revolutionized an entire industry that followed in its footsteps and we couldn’t be prouder to have it cross our block in Scottsdale as it goes up for sale for the very first time.”
The car features a 390-in 1956 Lincoln V-8 engine and a B&M Hydro Automatic transmission. Gadgets include a nose-mounted aluminum Cable Cutter Blade, Bat Ray Projector, Anti-Theft Device, Detect-a-scope, Batscope, Bat Eye Switch, Antenna Activator, Police Band Cut-In Switch, Automatic Tire Inflation Device, Remote Batcomputer, the Batphone, Emergency Bat Turn Lever, Anti-Fire Activator, Bat Smoke, Bat Photoscope, and many other Bat gadgets. If needed, the Batmobile was capable of a quick 180° "bat-turn" thanks to two rear-mounted ten-foot Deist parachutes.
The car is also exclusively featured in Christopher Nolan's Batmobile Documentary, which can be viewed as a bonus feature on The Dark Knight Rises DVD. It will go up for auction along with memorabilia and documentation from Barris’ personal archives.

Now THAT'S an Awesome Hat!

I wonder if it was made with The Shining in mind?

Reading this just gave me a full body geek-gasm! From SuperHeroHype;

Long rumored, director Bryan Singer has now confirmed that the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past will mix cast members from his X-Men and X2 with those from Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class. Taking to Twitter, Singer reports that Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are set to reprise their roles as Magneto and Professor X with Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy returning to play younger versions of the same characters.

 Singer goes on say that Nicolas Hoult will be back as Beast and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. His original tweets read as follows:

 Scheduled for release on July 18, 2014, X-Men: Days of Future Past boasts a script by Simon Kinberg and is said to be inspired Chris Claremont and John Byrne's comic book storyline that ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981. "Days of Future Past" introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.

Although not yet officially listed, Singer's "more to come" is likely to also include Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. In addition to playing a key role in the comic book version of the story, Wolverine has appeared in every live-action
X-Men film to date and will star in his second solo adventure with the July 26 release The Wolverine.

More Pics From The Bates Motel & an Interesting Reveal

I posted a couple of pics earlier, and I was suspicious then, but looking at this new crop of photos, my suspicions are indeed confirmed; This prequel series to Psycho is indeed set in our present. I thought those clothes looked new! I'm not sure how I feel about that, as everyone knows how I love a "period" piece, but it's intriguing nonetheless!

The pictures are brought to you by The Hollywood Reporter. Included are posed photos of the main cast but also some production photos that give away clues to what is coming. You can see here Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates, Vera Farmiga as Norma, Max Thieriot as Dylan Bates and Olivia Cooke as Emma Decody

I Guess I'll be Winning The Powerball Now...

First off - I don't play the lottery. I think the odds are stacked so incredibly high against you that it is simply a waste of money. If I'm going to piss away $2, I'll do it by putting a double cheeseburger and value fries into my belly. However, I had a fitful sleep last night and woke up at 3 AM with a set of numbers in my head. I didn't think much of it, and tried to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, the numbers kept flashing in my head, and wouldn't let me sleep.

Finally, I got up and wrote them down on ironically enough, an overdue bill that was posted to the fridge. When I awoke this morning, I went down to the corner store and purchased a Powerball ticket using those numbers. The drawing is Wednesday night, and if my numbers don't come up, I'm gonna be real pissed that I didn't go to McDonald's!

Worf Cooking While Data and Captain Archer Clean Dishes in Captain Picard's Kitchen

Daniel Stewart, son of Star Trek actor Patrick Stewart, had a birthday party in his father's apartment. Michael Dorn cooked while Brent Spiner and Scott Bakula cleaned up. Daniel Stewart tweets, "My birthday catering company sucks. Do NOT hire these guys."
I think it's awesome that they still all hang out together!

Promo For The Midseason Finale of The Walking Dead

Man, I can't believe it's already at midseason!! What the Hell am I gonna do until February?!? Oh wait - I have Netflix! So what do you guys think of season 3 so far? I am totally digging it - waaay better than season 2 IMHO. The only complaint I have is that the Governor has been watered down a bit much. In the comics, he was completely evil and just as brutal - this Governor is definitely more of a politician type. Check out the promo for the finale below - the episode is optimistically titled "Made to Suffer"

My 2 Favorite Toys...
