I've always wanted to be an urban explorer. You know, the kind that goes into long-abandoned tunnels under city streets and old derelict factories in large cities. On Dark Roasted Blend, they have the holy grail of urban expedition sites; Spreepark PlanterWald- an abandoned amusement park that has been out of commission since 2001 and is smack in the middle of a major European city - Berlin - close to the much-visited Treptower Park.
It is clearly marked on every map - and does not seem to be closely guarded. It's such a popular destination, it even has its own website. In other words, it could be a perfect "first foray" for any budding urban explorer or abandoned places photographer.
