FINALLY! I Found a Display Cabinet!

I had great luck while yard-sailing this weekend; I scored this great display case with lighting for $10!!! The only defect is that the glass on the door is missing, but you can hardly tell as it simply looks like the glass is really, really clean. Ever since we moved to Portland, I've had most of my toy collection still boxed up, so it's great to be able to display them again. I still have the two shelves in the hallway with plenty of eye candy, and some of my collection is still boxed up, but I'm getting there!

Feel free to email me pictures of how you display your own collection at and I'll be happy to include them in another post!

Dude, that looks great. i scored a couple of nice displays out at the curb for trash. I replaced glass on the one. I've painted both of the ones I found because of defects on the outside of the cases.

Thanks! I think I will have the glass on the door replaced if for no other reason than to keep dust out. I kinda want to paint it, but I'm too lazy.

Very cool. I am on the hunt myself for a cheap display case for my loose figures not that I have started collecting all my loose figures in one place...complete of course. I love the way everything displays.

Hey Cal, I have seen your collection and am super-jealous! I'm happy to be in Portland because the yard sales here are incredible!! We also scored an antique patio table w/ glass top for $5!!

Hey Matt! I ordered that waay back in 2003 or '04 for $40 from (I think) Entertainment Earth or Amok Time Toys. Easily one of my favorite and unnerving pieces.
