It's Skits Like This That Make Portlandia The Best Comedy on TV...

My wife and I recently started bingewatching IFC's runaway hit; Portlandia, and when we reach the end of season three, there's gonna be trouble! For those of you unfamiliar with the show, here's the Wiki;
Portlandia is a satirical sketch comedy television series, set and filmed in (and near) Portland, Oregon; it stars Carrie Brownstein (lead guitarist/singer for Wild Flag and Sleater-Kinney) and former Saturday Night Live cast member Fred Armisen.[1] The show is produced by Andrew Singer and Jonathan Krisel for Broadway Video Television and IFC Original Productions. It debuted on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) on January 21, 2011.[2] The series has been signed on for a fourth and fifth season.[3]

At first, I wasn't too interested because it looked a little too "hipster-ish" to me, but since I moved to "the other" Portland, I figured I should give it a try. It's amazing to me just how similar Portland Oregon is to Portland Maine; it's practically the same cast of characters! I really feel that it's the best comedy on TV right now, and the first three seasons are currently on Netflix, so go check it out!
