I Watched The Conjuring Yesterday...

All I can say is... HOLY... SHIT!!!
This movie not only goes to the top of the list as best horror film of 2013 thus far, but it also earns a prestigious position on my top ten list of the scariest films of aalll tiiime!

The visuals are terrifying and the acting is superb; Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are perfect as real-life ghostbusters Ed and Lorraine Warren. Also, Lili Taylor and Ron Livingston (yes, the guy from Office Space) are perfectly cast as the bedeviled couple struggling to keep their family safe amid the chaos.

I enjoyed this film so much that I would love to see an entire series devoted to the real-life cases of these two paranormal investigators!
Go see it today and sleep with the light on tonight!

We went to see it Saturday it was so good! I was really excited, had been waiting for it to come out. I'm ready for the blu ray so I can watch special features and hopefully commentary.

    1. Let me know your thoughts after you see it! Up until this movie, I thought "The Strangers" was the scariest film of the last ten years, but now The Conjuring goes to the top of the list!

  5. not impressed. The acting was great but the story was weak. I was expecting/hoping for more of a super natural thriller/horror movie. What I experienced was crap popping out at the screen (which is what made it scary/creepy)>>> There were very few smart scary moments.

    1. Wow! You are the first person I have met that didn't like this movie! I disagree with you regarding the claim that there were few "smart" scary moments; I thought they went out of their way to avoid the cheap scares and instead focus on the story, mood, and visuals. JMO.
