i never got the to see the first one, though i do have an autographed score by the composer... interesting, my wife doesn't like this type of film... we don't see many good things.
Hey Jeremy - it took me more than 10 years, but I FINALLY got my wife to not only watch horror films with me, but to actually LIKE them! Keep chipping away at 'er; you'll wear her down eventually!
Same here, guys. It took me a while, but I finally got the wife to enjoy horror films with me. She still won' t go for the gore, but she loves a good paranormal film. We loved Insidious! Can't wait to see this one!
Yeah, my wife doesn't go for the gory stuff (but she liked the Evil Dead remake, so go figure). I've also got her hooked on all of the good "ghost shows" like Paranormal Witness, Dead Files, and even Monsters in America. I even turned her on to "The Exorcist" for the first time last weekend, and she loved it! As I type this, we're watching "The House on The End of The Street" with the always hot Jennifer Lawrence and drinking wine - it's a good life indeed!
My wife went to the Evil Dead remake with me because she made me go to a girlie play the week before...but she ended up liking it! I got Holly (my wife) hooked on Ancient Aliens and America's Book of Secrets and stuff like that. We watch some paranormal stuff sometimes too.
My wife can't stand any of the UFO or conspiracy shows, but she loves the paranormal ones.
I'm pumped! Insidious and Sinister had to the be the brightest light of hope for horror over the last few years. Something that was original AND awesome!
Agreed! I was quite pleasantly surprised by both films when they came out! I definitely wouldn't mind seeing another entry into the Sinister mythos.
I couldn't agree more! I hope we see another Sinister as well! I'm really looking forward to seeing "The Purge", too. That's the thing about Summer; too many movies and not enough time/money!
I live for the summer movie season. I'm happy to see that horror is veering away from the so called Torture Porn and getting back to a more basic element. The Purge looks like a The Strangers run through the strainer of a dystopian future.
Shit! The Strangers was one of the scariest damn movies I've seen! Stuff like home invasions and other shit that could actually happen is what really gets to me!
If you thought The Strangers was cool....you definitely need to check out a French film called ILS (Them). The Strangers is almost like an Americanization of it......but ILS is much more tense (Well, I think so anyway!)
