Yeah... they've been making this toy for years. I guess it's about time they brought the design into the film. As for Bumblebee, unless he talks, MEH! And as for the new Optimus design... Double MEH!!Let's see the movie kick some ass and then I'll start to get excited. Less humans. More F'N ROBOTS!!! Robots talking, a lot. Not just sometimes talking to humans like it's some special shit and then fighting where you can't tell what the hell's going on. Real character interaction... robot, interaction.
You gotta admit - the last one was pretty good even though the second one sucked.
I'll admit that I'm actually a fan of all three movies, though I think that a lot of that is colored by my deep nostalgia for Transformers. That said, I'm very hopeful that they'll start to have more interesting Transformers. Shockwave was pretty bad ass in the last one (except for that stupid worm thing).
I loved the first and third ones, but I slept through the last half of the second, and never finished it. I don't think I've slept through a movie since my parents subjected me to "Chariots of Fire". Little spoiler on THAT gem; NO chariots and NO fire :-(
Oh crap, are you serious? That is totally false advertising! Seriously though, the second Transformers flick is definitely the weak point thus far....I was really disappointed with what they did with Devastator.....
I suppose I should at least finish the movie so that I can at submit a fully informed opinion ;-)
If you can get past the tedious middle section, there's some decent action in the third act. There is the aforementioned bastardization of Devastator.......and a really wonky spiritual encounter Sam has with The Primes (Makes no damn sense) but other than that, I actually rather enjoyed the Egyptian battle sequences!
OK - you had me at "Egyptian battle sequences"
I knew that would get ya! Should I also mention ancient technology?
