Will Someone Please Grow a Pair & Step up to The Damn Plate & Commit to Directing Episode 7?!?

OK - this is starting to piss me off! I thought for sure that big-name directors would be chomping at the bit to get a chance to direct Star Wars Episode 7; righting past wrongs and getting a chance to leave their own creative fingerprint on what is probably the most revered and cherished movie franchise in history!

But no, everyone is apparently scared to death of disappointing the precious fan base! Well, no matter what you do, or how spectacular the sequel could be, there's always going to be a very vocal group of miserable trolls who's only pleasure in life is ripping things apart behind the anonymity of the internet! Did the prequels suck? Yes, the Phantom Menace was dreadful and Attack of The Clones was merely "watchable", but I happened to enjoy the Revenge of The Sith! Truth is, I would still prefer all three to nothing at all!

There are plenty of excellent directors out there whose very reason for getting into the business in the first place was very likely the original three Star Wars films, and I just wish one of them would take on this tremendous honor (not burden!) and simply DO THEIR BEST! Not for the money, not for the publicity, not even for the fans! Do it for your love of the STORY!!

  1. Agreed totally with everything you said. All of it. Having the 1,2, and 3 is better than nothing at all. I enjoyed all of them. Even though I LOVE Mr. Plinkett's review of Phantom Menace.

  2. They all had their good points; for as much as I hated Jar-Jar in episode one, I loved Darth Maul & felt they killed him off way too early. I can't wait to see what new characters they have in mind for episode 7!
