They're Coming to Get You, Barbara....

I was at Newbury Comics a few weeks ago and ran accross this; a Night of The Living Dead Mego figure! For those of you who don't know, Mego was an incredibly popular toy company in the 70's who revolutionalized the toy market with their 8 inch figures with cloth outfits. The company held the liscenses to such properties as Marvel, DC, Star Trek, Planet of The Apes and many others. The company went out of business in 1982, and the toys became wildly popular among collectors. Yours truly even made his living for three years by producing custom Mego toys to sell to collectors. A couple of years ago, "Emce Toys" purchased some of the original molds and reproduced The Star Trek and Planet of the Apes lines, as well as adding new characters to the Star Trek line up. The new figures were well received by fans, and the company released the "Night of The Living Dead" line - the first new "Megos" since 1982. I have a few of these in my collection, and I couldn't be happier with them. You can visit Emce toys Here

"Shall a God Crave Yummy Fruit Pies?"

This is a great example of wacky 70's comic-book advertising. Can you really see the God of Thunder munching down on a cherry fruit pie? Methinketh NOT!

New Robot Art

Speaking of tin robots, here is my latest artwork, based on my very own "Undersea Scuba Robot".

A Whole Buncha' Awesome!

As everyone knows, I am a HUGE fan of tin robots! The only thing I think is cooler than tin robots is LIFE-SIZE tin robots. I ran across this site, that makes lifesize tin robots. Now, I don't know how much they are, but I'm pretty sure it's out of my price range. See them Here
