Gotta Expose The Kids To The Classics!

This weekend, while I was rooting through the local antique shops, I found a VHS copy of the 1996 classic; "Mars Attacks" by Tim Burton for $1, and figured the kids might get a kick out of it, as they have really enjoyed playing "Destroy All Humans" lately. I remember when this movie came out, it got horrible reviews, but I really, really liked it. I also forgot how amazing the cast was, and that even Jack Black got his start with this movie. Although I still have trouble believing that's Lisa Marie Presley as the disguised female martian. Anyway, the kids loved it, and if you haven't seen it in a while, it's a good time to watch it again. I mean cmon', the music of Slim Whitman makes their heads explode - how awesome is that?!?

  1. That would be Lisa Marie as the Martian Spy Girl. I made the same mistake when I saw her as Vampira in Ed Wood, but was happy to learn you leave the Presley off. Do yourself a favor a do a google image search on her, she is quite the dish.

  2. Thanks for the correction - I was looking at the movie poster thinking; no way is that her! But I looked her up, and she is quite easy on the eyes!
